Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Teleno AI collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English. The legal terms still mean what they mean.

1.Who we are

Teleno AI is operated by [Teleno AI, Inc.], a [Delaware] corporation with its principal office at [Street Address, City, State ZIP] ("Teleno AI," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide an AI-assisted SMS messaging platform that helps small businesses send and manage text conversations with their customers (the "Service").

This policy applies to (a) businesses that sign up for and use the Service ("Customers") and (b) the end recipients of text messages those Customers send through the Service ("Message Recipients"). It does not apply to data our Customers process for their own purposes outside the Service.

2.Information we collect

Account information

When you create a Teleno AI account, we collect your name, email, business name, business address, phone number, EIN or tax ID (for 10DLC registration), website URL, payment details, and any other information required to verify your identity and brand with The Campaign Registry (TCR) and our messaging carriers.

Customer contact data

Customers upload or sync contact records (name, mobile phone number, email, transaction history, opt-in source and timestamp, and similar fields) so they can text those contacts through the Service. The Customer is the controller of this data; Teleno AI is the processor and only uses it to deliver the Service.

Message content and metadata

We process the content of SMS and MMS messages sent and received through the Service, along with metadata such as sender and recipient phone numbers, timestamps, delivery status, carrier responses, and opt-out keywords (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, etc.). We use AI to help draft messages and suggest replies; message content may be processed by our AI subprocessors for those purposes.

Usage data

We log how you use the Service: pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser, device type, approximate location derived from IP, referrer URLs, and session duration. We use standard server logs and product analytics for this.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service won't work without them.

3.How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI features that draft messages and suggest replies
  • Deliver text messages, route replies, and report on delivery and engagement
  • Verify Customer identity and register Customer brands and campaigns with TCR and carriers (a 10DLC compliance requirement)
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
  • Send you transactional emails about your account (we'll only send marketing emails if you opt in)

4.SMS messaging disclosures

For Message Recipients: If you received this policy because you got a text from a business that uses Teleno AI, the business — not Teleno AI — chose to send you that message. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for support.

Consent

Our Customers represent to us that they have obtained prior express written consent (as defined under the TCPA, 47 U.S.C. § 227, and FCC rules) from every Message Recipient before sending marketing texts. Teleno AI requires Customers to keep records of opt-in source, timestamp, and IP address (where applicable) for every contact.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by sender and use case. Each Teleno AI Customer sets their own sending cadence. There is no fixed frequency set by Teleno AI.

Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages you send and receive. Teleno AI does not charge Message Recipients for messages.

Opt-out

Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, or CANCEL to any text message to opt out of further messages from that sender. Opt-outs are processed automatically and immediately by the Service. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts from that sender.

Help

Reply HELP to any text message to receive support contact information for the sender.

Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5.How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We do not share message content or Message Recipient contact information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Period.

Service providers

We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, including:

  • Messaging carriers — SMS/MMS delivery and number provisioning
  • The Campaign Registry (TCR) — 10DLC brand and campaign registration
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloud hosting and database providers — to run the Service infrastructure
  • AI model providers — to power message drafting and reply suggestions; message content sent to these providers is not used to train their models
  • Customer support and analytics tools

These providers are bound by contracts that limit how they can use the information.

Mobile carriers

To deliver messages, we share sender, recipient, and message content with the destination wireless carrier and any intermediate carriers. Carriers may scan messages for spam, fraud, or violations of their content policies.

Legal compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If Teleno AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer to the successor entity. We'll notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6.Data retention

We keep account and Customer data for as long as your account is active. Message content and metadata are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Opt-out records are retained indefinitely so we can honor opt-outs even if a contact is re-uploaded.

You can request earlier deletion of message content from your dashboard or by emailing [privacy@teleno.ai].

7.Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to notify you promptly if something goes wrong.

8.Your rights

For all users

You can access, correct, export, or delete your account information from your Teleno AI dashboard. For requests we can't handle in-product, email [privacy@teleno.ai].

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to (a) know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it, (b) request a copy of your personal information, (c) request deletion of your personal information, (d) correct inaccurate personal information, and (e) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email [privacy@teleno.ai] or write to us at the address in Section 1.

Other US states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights. The same contact methods apply.

9.Children's privacy

Teleno AI is not directed to anyone under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at [privacy@teleno.ai] and we will delete it.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the changes are material, we'll let you know by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
